Had initial concerns but it works great | |
| I purchased this autotransformer for general experimentation. For a 2KVA unit it was a great price. The shipping package was in great condition. I removed the unit from the second internal box and was concerned. It appeared the control knob was bent out of alignment. Also, when turning the knob, it felt sloppy. I disassembled the unit and found two things of interest. First, the control knob and shaft were NOT bent and were realigned during reassembly. Still not 100% but fully adequate. Second, the moving contact is mounted on a floating retainer. This results in a loose sloppy feel, but the unit is tracking fine. After reassembly, I tested the unit and it works fine. Bottom line, I recommend this product for its value. | ||
